Perth Library Early Years (PLEY) |
|
Boxes of 20 children’s books are distributed and exchanged every three months. They go to the following agencies: Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit, Children's Resources on Wheels, Ontario Early Years Centre, Connections, Open Doors and TayCare.

Eleven theme boxes housed at the library contain big books, 9- 16 picture books, felt board stories, puppets, manipulatives, craft ideas and an instruction binder which outlines the entire program.
These can be borrowed for three weeks by caregivers, parents, grandparents, daycare workers and kindergarten teachers.
The themes are Food, Bears, Numbers and Counting, Getting Dressed, Ducks, Dinosaurs, The alphabet, Things That Go, Colours, Farms and Dogs.

This parent run toy lending library for children 0-6 is housed upstairs at the library and is open Tuesday and Friday mornings. For further details ask library staff for contact information.

Class Visits |
|
Glen Tay Public School, The Stewart School, North Elmsley Public School, Drummond Central Public School, Queen Elizabeth and St. John Elementary are the area public schools that can arrange class visits throughout the school year. Perth Children’s House and Berkana School also bring their students to the library on a regular basis
