Library Support
There are several ways to contribute to and support your local library. Read below to see how you can make a difference. Cash donations to the library are eligible for receipts to be used for income tax purposes.

Cash donations
You can make cash donations to the library at any time. Please contact us for further information.

Donations In-Memory or Special Honorariums
Remember loved ones or special moments by donating and designating a book or other resources to the library. Dedication plates may be added if you wish. Please contact us for further information.

Planned Giving
Please consider leaving a lasting gift to your library and the community. Your giving options include wills and bequests, memorial or celebration gifts, annuities, life insurance, trusts and gifts of property or assets. Please contact us for further information.

A special lifetime donation to your library ensures your generosity benefits your family and community well into the future.

Support the Children’s Literacy Program
Donations to our summer literacy program allow us to hire and train university and/or college students to tutor children in kindergarten through grade three during July and August. These children have been recommended by their teachers for remedial reading during the summer holiday.

Film Night International
Film Night International screens first run independent, foreign language and Canadian films as a fundraiser for the Perth and Smiths Falls Public Libraries.

Profits, after expenses, are used to purchase items outside their normal operating budgets. For more information, visit the blog at http://filmnightinternational.blogspot.com.

Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Library is a non-profit voluntary organization dedicated to the enhancement of library services for the residents of our municipalities. The Friends welcome new members and volunteers on an ongoing basis.

Volunteers help the library with a variety of projects, from programming support to keeping the collection in good shape. If you are interested in volunteering for the library, please complete a volunteer application and submit it to the library.

Perhaps no place in any community is so totally dem-ocratic as the town library. The only entrance requirement is interest
