Sometimes dreams really do come true. I am writing this post from my new desk as I settle into my recent transition becoming the children and teen services librarian. We as a staff were very sad to see Ketsia go but excited for her to chase her dreams abroad. I have always loved kids.I enjoy their honesty, energy and humour. Being able to surround myself with kids, books and creating programs is something I was born to do. So far this week I have been able to set up a Santa letter writing station, participate in our pen pals program and get organized for the launch of our Advent/New Year’s book kits. I know this position will have challenges but I am so glad to continue working at the library doing something I am passionate about. Now I must get back to gift wrapping the picture books!
