DESCRIPTION:Together\, Perth & District Union Public Library and Queer Connection Lanark (QCL) are excited to present “Lanark Speaks: Queer Speaker Series.” This series features 2SLGBTQI+ community members and a range of topics: drag\, sports\, horticulture\, comedy\, business\, and identity. We invite everyone to join us in listening and learning from these speaker’s stories\, experiences\, talents\, and shared wisdom.  \nMason Flatla is a representative from Ottawa Pride Hockey. Ottawa Pride Hockey is a 2SLGBTQ+ inclusive group in their third season of pick up hockey. They are led by gender diverse people and promote a safer space for everyone. \nThis performance is sponsored and made possible through support from Perth & District Community Foundation. \n*Registration for the live stream will close June 5\, 2024 at 6:00 pm. DESCRIPTION:Visit the library on Friday\, June 28 to launch the beginning of our TD Summer Reading Club. This years theme is: To the Stars! Grab your astronaut suit and moon boots and hop aboard our spaceship as we blast off past satellites and asteroids\, leaving the Milky Way behind us. We will be serving galaxy lemonade\, and registration will be open for all ages. This year we are happy to partner with Canadian Tire Perth\, to offer 2 new bicycles! Every book read is a ballot for the draw. Pick up a copy of our summer calendar on June 10 to find out about all of the amazing programs offered this summer.
