Computers, WiFi and Internet Access

Computers and internet access

The library has several computers available to provide high-speed internet access as well as a standard suite of software (word processing, spreadsheet, presentation). You can log on to any available computer using your library card number and password. Guest passes are available at the circulation desk for those without a library card. One computer is reserved for quick 15-minute sessions to check email or print a document.

Computer time is currently limited 1 hour per person per day due to COVID19 capacity restrictions. Please see our Services During COVID19 page for the latest details.

WiFi Access

Wireless access is available 24 hours a day inside and outside the building for those with their own devices.
The network is called Perth Library and there is no password, though you will need to agree to the terms of use.

Access Policy

Use of the library’s computer and network (including wireless) is governed by the Access to the Internet policy. By connecting to the library’s network or using one of the library’s computers, you are agreeing to abide by this policy. Users may have their access to the library’s computers or network revoked for any violation of the policy.

Children’s computers

The Library also offers two computers dedicated to literacy based games for use in the children’s department. Both computers feature games and quizzes that facilitate learning.
