Meeting room rental

The Perth & District Union Public Library has the following meeting rooms:

The Green Study Room is located on the first floor with space for up to 6 people.  This space is bookable for a maximum of 3hrs/day at no cost. Room will be kept locked and users will check in at the desk upon arrival for a key. This room also has a “green screen” wall and can be used for filming.

The Friends of the Library Study Room is located on the second floor with space for up to 4 people.  There is elevator access to the second floor. This space is bookable for a maximum of 3hrs/day at no cost. Room will be kept locked and users will check in at the desk upon arrival for a key.

The Launch Pad is located on the first floor with space for up to 3 people.  This space is bookable for a maximum of 3hrs/day at no cost. Room will be kept locked and users will check in at the desk upon arrival for a key. The Launch Pad is the library’s creative space – book it to use the 3D printer, sewing machine, Cricut and more. It can also be booked in conjunction with the Common Room for the Common Room fee, plus $5 per hour or portion thereof, or $55 per day (5 hours or longer). 

The Common Room is located on the first floor of the library, with space to comfortably seat up to 15 people (and to a maximum of 40 people, depending on room setup). This space is bookable for a fee of $10 per hour or portion thereof, or $50 per day (5 hours or longer). Room will be kept locked and users will check in at the desk upon arrival for a key.

The Marguerite Frizell Room is located on the second floor of the library with space to comfortably seat up to 40 people (and to a maximum of 84 people, depending on room setup).  There is elevator access to the second floor. This space is bookable for a fee of $45 for up to 3 hours, $10 for each additional hour. Room will be kept locked and users will check in at the desk upon arrival for a key. In the months of July and August, this room is reserved for the Summer Literacy Program. 

Fine print:
In order to allow everyone access to our meeting rooms, there is a maximum of one room booking per day, please.
Rentals must be during library opening hours, and renters are requested to end their programs at least 15 minutes before the library closes so as to complete cleanup by closing time. If you need additional set up or take down time, please include this in your booking.
Rental fees are due prior to the booking, and may be paid by cash or cheque at the library.
The person signing for the room on behalf of the organization accepts responsibility for the property and the deportment of the group renting the room.
The library is in no way responsible for any injuries sustained during the use of the room.
The library is a smoke-free building and the consumption of alcoholic beverages is not permitted.
Audio-visual equipment is also available for use in the meeting rooms.
