Babies & Toddlers
Early Literacy is a key aspect of your child’s development. Reading is an essential skill for success in school and in life.
When adults model the joy of reading, it encourages a love of reading in children!
At the Perth Union Library, we model our Early Literacy program on the American Library Association’s Every Child Ready to Read program. This program incorporates simple practices to encourage literacy skill building; Talking, Singing, Playing, Reading, Writing.
Have fun at home while building your child’s literacy skills using some of the songs found in our Babytime & Storytime programs! Be sure to snuggle up and read a book or two as well!
