An Indigenous Worldview of the Environment

Please join us for a panel discussion about the ways in which Indigenous Peoples view their responsibilities to the Land and how we can work together to preserve our sacred earth.

Guest speakers will lead discussions on the following topics:

Peigi Wilson – Cultural and Biological Diversity

Mireille LaPointe – Food Sovereignty and Food Security – a personal responsibility

Celina Tuttle – “Two-Eyed Seeing” – Combining traditional Indigenous teachings with western science

Michael Desautels – Shared teachings about our responsibilities to protect our Mother Earth

This event will take place at the Indigenous Healing Circle at Last Duel Park. Bring your own chair, tea, bug spray, etc. In the case of inclement weather the program will be held at The Perth & District Community Foundation, 77 Gore St E, unit 1A
