Eurythmy Therapy
Let Coco introduce you to Eurythmy Therapy! These will be individual sessions, one-on-one, about 30-45 minutes each. Eurythmy movement exercises will be taught during these sessions to improve health in general or for some specific chronic health problems or tendencies. It is suitable for people of all ages and with different movement capacities. Usually a treatment cycle of 7 weeks is recommended.
What is Eurythmy Therapy?
Life is movement. Eurythmy is a new art of movement originating from the soul and spiritual source of the human being becoming. This art of movement can be “distilled” into a kind of movement “medicine”. One can learn movement exercises to improve one’s health in all aspects of physical, emotional, and soul and spiritual life, including common complaints such as seasonal allergies, digestive issues, chronic pains, depressive moods, behavioural and developmental problems. Eurythmy Therapy is an integral part of Anthroposophic Medicine.
Eurythmy movement exercises are based on polarities of gravity-levity, centre-periphery, inner-outer, and more. Some exercises are gestures for letter sounds, for example, a movement gesture of “B” might be applied to help with warmth and lack of protection or for kidney problems; and a movement gesture of “M” might be used for better breathing and against fear and anxiety. During these one-on-one sessions, the movement exercises will be taught standing, stepping, or seated, depending on the health needs of each individual. Please wear comfortable clothing and light and fitting shoes for ease of movement.
