Put on your detector's hat and come out to the library garden to help us find the mythological creatures that are hiding! We encourage dressing up!!
Learn the myths of some legendary monsters and make your own peculiar creature out of slime!
Work as a team to debunk (or confirm) the legend of the Loch Ness Monster. You will pick through riddles, news paper clippings, photos, and pedestrian sighting accounts in this activity.
Create your very own family/cultural crest and shield. Use the shield for a quest, a visit to Camelot, or to fend off mythological creatures.

Trek through the library and surrounding area (library garden) to identify naturally occurring beats, rhythms, and melodies. Each child gets a notepad to record their observations during this investigation!
Come out to the library garden for open stage and mic afternoon! All are welcome. Show us your ultra cool dance moves, a song you've been practicing, a magic trick, or knock our socks off with some comedy! Please RSVP if you'd like to perform. Note: there's no Simon Cowell present.
